BLAIR LAM HIU SUET

Blair Lam Hiu Suet is an artist from Hong Kong, she graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2023.

Lam sees the process of painting as an open-ended dialogue between the canvas and herself, which is intuitive in nature. She sees mystery in the inconspicuous, which she attempts to unpuzzle through painting. Fusing the energy of the unspoken into the fluidity of brushwork, her recent practice has departed from subjective representation and is currently rooted in the detachment from formal representation. Bringing figuration to abstraction, her works exist within the ambiguity that lies in in the materiality of the medium.
