As an active member of a cosmopolitan society, Lau avidly observes the intricate relationship between solitude and city living. His paintings are often inspired by the ephemeral nature of moments in time, such as the passing of a pedestrian, the crashing of waves, the turning of heads. Lau transforms such mundane moments into symbolic memories. His works have been exhibited at various galleries including Gallery EXIT and Osage Gallery, and at Art Basel Hong Kong.
